Hi, my name is Jami Marais.
Founder of Velocity Photography. I have searched my whole life for something I can excel in. I was introduced to this field by Kami Kelly. And knew right away, this was what I wanted to do. I am a stay at home wife and mother. I enjoy every minute of motherhood and being a wife to my amazing husband. I have been in front of the camera as well as behind But something was missing. After several years of hit and miss on what kind of photography I would be better in. I FOUND IT!!! My father owns and operates Rustbusters. It is our family business that started over 30+ years ago. That is where my passion first started for anything. I love old cars and being outside "junkin". When I put those two things together..... LIFE BEGAN!!! I have a new light in my heart and a new path I am running towards!!! I have became super passionate about Pin Up modeling. Outside photography! After I found my niche, my dad supported me every step!!! He had recently bought 40 acres of land and wasn't even using a quarter of it. So he then helped me move several cars I was interested in to different spots in the acreage. When I book a client. That is my first location choice. I thank God everyday! To be able to build my business and grow. And I send out a special Thank you to Tim Johnson at Rustbusters Auto and Salvage. |
From the beggining |
Where we are now |
I started my photography career just wanting to make a little cash to help out my family since I was a stay at home mom. Now I find myself getting into things I never thought I could.
|
We specialize in Pin up, Boudoir, and Couples. We have done a little of every style shooting and are looking forward to getting more into weddings now.

Who has inspired me?
First and Foremost I thank God for all he has driven me to do. When I felt uncomfortable He gave me that push! He is a good good Father.
My husband for supporting me in my career and for loving me through it all.
My sweet girls, for every day pushing me to be a better mom and a better person. These girls don't know it but they are my main reason for trying hard everyday! I want to make them proud!!!
My mom for always encouraging me and inspiring me to do better.
